Sandy - spelt is a type of grain and you will definitely find it at CM (I LOVE CM - was dreaming of it today!!). However - you can just make these waffles with regular whole wheat, all purpose, etc. Whatever you have on hand!! The spelt flour just adds an extra dimension and helps mix up grain intake but is certainly not required. Let me know when you make them - they are ADDICTIVE!

These sound yummy! I see spelt all the time at the market and haven't ever tried it. Guess it's about time, right? My husband makes killer banana waffles on Sundays. I wonder if he'd whip these up for us.
