I don't know what I'd do with my excess black beans and I don't want them to go to waste. The timing is just perfect! Thank you so much! :)

Re: Recipe: Black Bean Soup

Hello,
The soup was quite a bit too thin. I should probably also say that i used 3, 19oz cans of black beans instead of dried ones (the cookbook had this as an option). I actually tried the recipe again the other day using 3 cups of stock instead of 4 and the consistency was good. If you have any other suggestions, I would love to hear them! Thanks again!

Re: Recipe: Black Bean Soup

Hi Jordan - was your soup too thick or too thin? I've actually never had a consistency problem. Let me know and I'll try to help you troubleshoot - hopefully the flavor was good! :-)

Re: Recipe: Black Bean Soup

Help! I followed this recipe exactly (I have the mesa grill book). But i could not get the thickness right? Do you have to play around with the amount of stock/water or did i just not simmer long enough? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
